Example of Client Needs

Client Need: Basic Tech Support, Organizing and Meaningful Conversations
We are seeking a kind and patient volunteer to support a local neighbor—a vibrant and artistic woman in her 60s who is full of creativity and heart. She sometimes struggles with focusing and navigating technology, and can feel overwhelmed at times. A helping hand could make a significant difference for her. She is looking for assistance with setting up a website, creating flyers, organizing, and implementing her creative ideas. She enjoys having conversations and looks forward to engaging in meaningful discussions.

Client Need: Provide Companionship for a Sweet Neighbor
We’re seeking a caring volunteer to spend a little time each week with a kind hearted 75-year-old woman in our community.
She’s gentle, easygoing, and loves simple things—like a warm cup of tea, friendly conversation, or watching a good TV show.
After experiencing a stroke, she’s been left with some residual weakness and isn’t comfortable being alone.
Call our office (235-6899) or email the Volunteer Coordinator at care@hospiceofhomer.org to learn about the variety of ways volunteers can be of service.
We’ll welcome you to fill out the form below and check only the activities that you’re interested in.
