How do Volunteer Visitors & Phone Friends work?
The Hospice of Homer Service Coordinator visits prospective clients and their families to determine what their needs are and what Hospice can do to help. Services are provided by a team of volunteers who are caring individuals from the community specially trained by Hospice.
How Do I Get Help?
The services provided by Hospice of Homer Volunteer Visitors and Phone Friends are open to all community members living on the southern Kenai Peninsula who lack mobility or isolated due to illness.
What Types Of Services Are Provided?
The services provided through the Hospice of Homer Volunteer Visitors/Phone Friends vary. The type of services a person receives depends on the specific needs of the individual. If HOH can not meet the determined needs, we make an appropriate referral.
